Botanical illustration of Euphorbia balsamifera, known as sweet tabaiba, a characteristic plant of the coastal landscapes of the Canary Islands. Its branched structure and compact crown of green leaves create a natural form closely linked to the island environment.

Sweet tabaiba grows in dry and sunny areas, especially on the coasts of Gran Canaria, Fuerteventura, Lanzarote, and Tenerife, forming part of the vegetation adapted to volcanic soils and the influence of the sea wind.

For generations, this plant has been present in traditional Canarian life. Its milky sap was used in folk remedies and daily uses, while its presence has defined the landscape of many rural and coastal areas.

Today, Euphorbia balsamifera is one of the most representative species of the cardonal-tabaibal ecosystem, a unique natural environment that characterizes a large part of the low-lying areas of the archipelago.

Printed on premium 100% cotton canvas, this botanical artwork reflects the simplicity and resilience of this indigenous species. Its classic and balanced style makes it a decorative piece inspired by the natural landscape of the Canary Islands.
