This work presents a botanical illustration of Coffea arabica, the coffee plant cultivated in unique microclimates of the Canary Islands. Its shiny leaves, white flowers, and ripening fruits create an elegant composition inspired by classical botanical tradition.

Coffee has a unique history in the archipelago. In Agaete, Gran Canaria, its cultivation dates back to the 18th and 19th centuries, when small estates began planting it in the sheltered valley. The mild climate, Atlantic humidity, and volcanic soils allowed for the development of a coffee with its own character that is still produced in limited quantities today.

Coffee has also been cultivated in areas in the north of Tenerife, where humid conditions and moderate temperatures favor the slow growth of the plant. These productions, always on a small scale, are part of a little-known local agricultural tradition.

Due to its rarity, Canary Islands coffee is considered one of the few coffees grown in Europe. This botanical work highlights this unique agricultural heritage, connecting nature, history, and the island landscape.

Printed on premium 100% cotton canvas, this botanical illustration offers an elegant and timeless aesthetic. Its classical composition makes it a decorative piece inspired by the cultural and natural identity of the Canary Islands.
