The Salinas de Tenefé, located on the southeast coast of Gran Canaria, is one of the most important traditional salt production areas in the Canary Islands. The geometric shapes of the salt flats, the soft tones of the water, and the stone paths create a tranquil and distinctive coastal landscape.

Salt production in this location dates back to the 18th century, using traditional methods based on the evaporation of seawater thanks to the sun and wind. The layout of the salt flats reflects a careful adaptation to the natural environment over time.

The small buildings and traditional elements recall the historical process of salt extraction, which was fundamental at the time for food preservation and the local economy of the archipelago.

Printed on premium 100% cotton canvas, this artwork captures the serene atmosphere and unique textures of the salt flats. The composition highlights a lesser-known landscape that is very representative of the maritime and agricultural history of Gran Canaria.
